Hi, Mary,
Thanks many times over from all of the Artisans at Brookside for how
wonderfully you pulled this all together. I was VERY pleased with the
turn out and most of the vendors did well (a few exceptions and that
seems to be the nature of these crafts fairs - no rhyme or reason why
one day or one weekend seems to be great or not so great. People
truly did enjoy themselves and I think Mike felt good about people's
appreciation for what he has done. He certainly got high visibility
this weekend.
Several of us have shared ideas for next year and planted some
seeds. There is a building that might be the perfect spot and be a
win/win with another town organization that could benefit by
receiving some of the booth fee. Many quality crafts people were
interested in participating this year but we could not accommodate
them - we have a GREAT list to pull from in the future.
I think the only thing that I felt was a glitch in publicity was
that the tree lighting/Santa Claus/ Magdalen Choir was very poorly
publicized and could have been an additional draw had more people
known of it. Many people were confused about when it was taking
place. It would be nice to add that to all our publicity. Also I
don't know if there is any possibility of the preview party being on
Friday night and the Tree lighting/Santa/choir being on Saturday or
if that would make a difference. I'm sure we'll have lots to reflect
on for next year. What a great first time! mm
