WBA-Retail: Wow!

As a consumer - I thank you all for a wonderful shopping day - we had a
great time touring through, and noting that each and every shop we went
in - there were smiling happy faces, on vendors and patrons alike - a
truly wonderful time.
As a WBA member - I truly think moving the Preview party to Friday night
will be....difficult in the extreme. There is a LOT of prep, both in
decorating and in food, that happens late Friday, and all day Saturday.
Those of us working that particular stretch all work on weekdays, and
barely make it through to Saturday night as it is.
Sincere apologies for the lack of publication on the Sunday activities.
We simply got the confirmations back way too late to be of much good.
We will try and improve on that next year, obtaining buy-in and
confirmation from the respective parties much earlier in the game plan.
While you're planning for next year's event, please keep me posted with
any possible advertising and wording you will need on tickets and
posters...our deadline for completed, printed, and distributed posters
and tickets is November 1st. I try to have a draft completed for the
October WBA Meeting for the members to review and approve.
Our tentative theme for 2008's Festival of Trees is "Santa's Reindeer".
Any chance we can put together a decorated reindeer contest in front of
sponsoring businesses? Perhaps artists can team up with each business?
We certainly have plenty of creative people in Warner! Perhaps the WBA
can offer up a prize for the most popular reindeer?
Thanks again for helping to make this year's Festival of Trees a
wonderful Success. I am compiling photos
(still in progress, need to retake a few that did not come out well
enough to post).
