WBA-Retail: Monday Oct 29 meeting

Hi all,
We had a great meeting this morning and are finishing up details on our first venture as an official retailers group!
We have the wording for the preview ticket and the WBA poster;  we have the start to our ad design and poster (thanks Sandy!); we have the text for the preview party speech (the retailer mention); we are working on an advertising plan (thanks Shirley); and we have a budget for  same.
We have 6 publications we are looking at and we have a budget comes to $200 per retailer.  Right now we have the following definites:
Telephone Museum
Woodsum Art Gallery
Rowe Mtn Fair Trade
Bookends
White Mtn Coffee
Country Cobwebs
Rolling Pin
Wingdoodle
Carolyn Beverly-Mary Kay Cosmetics
MKIM (services)

The payment plan is as follows:
$200 made payable to WBA  sent by Nov 9 to:
WBA PO Box 301 Warner 03278

Payment must be in by Nov 9 to be a participant.
The budget will pay for the ads and the poster that is being created.

Additionally, Laura French at the Telephone Museum is heading up the gift basket plan.  The raffle tickets will be stamped throughout the weekend and at the end of the day on Sunday we will pick a winner.  The gift basket will be described in the ads and poster.  Also, Richard from White Mtn Coffee offered to make a poster of the photographed gift basket for  us to have in our stores!  Thanks Richard!

A chance to win a gift basket
10% off Preview Party ticket holders

One thought...any ideas to encourage Christmas shopping in Warner beyond this weekend?  After all, the trees are up till Christmas, and there is no reason NOT to encourage shoppers for the whole time...If you have an idea that might be easy to ad into our advertising, (like, "Shop between now and Dec 24 in Warner and receive a coupon for__________ to be used in 2008...or something like that) that would be great.

What did I forget??



Next Monday we meet again  at 8 am at WMGC to finalize the ads and posters.  AND we can go over all questions, ideas etc.  Please join us!
